I'm fairly new to photography, too, having only started about 4 years ago, but it's become an addiction for me.

This blog, Silk Creek Portal, is a nature based blog started by Mary. Anyone can join and share their photography, art, and poetry about nature. Silk Creek, I think, is a place in upstate New York, but I could be wrong. Maybe Mary will tell us where exactly. Mary and several other poets and artists go there annually for a creative retreat. I hope to be able to go one year, but I live in Texas, so it would be quite a drive for me. The people who post their work here are from many different places. We would be honored if you would like to post some of your photos of the expansive French sky you mentioned, or even Oregon when you return, and not just photos, but some of your wonderful poetry, too.

Thanks so much for stopping by!bluerosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09454168542120117493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12284539.post-14368084564000070562009-12-06T01:52:04.220-05:002009-12-06T01:52:04.220-05:00i just looked up silk creek to see if i could find...i just looked up silk creek to see if i could find it. all i come up with is oregon. i live in astoria, oregon. is this where you are, in lane county? bisous (kisses) xoxoxo ~ltLaura Tattoohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05503853041054419287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12284539.post-16199573499412228572009-12-06T01:48:25.370-05:002009-12-06T01:48:25.370-05:00absolutely beautiful photography! i love your bird...absolutely beautiful photography! i love your bird and your ocean shots and, lol, i recognize that sky! i have taken many pictures of that sky here in vauvenargues, france, during my three-month stay. so faraway from you, but each day begins with this enormous expanse to greet us. i am so grateful!

have you been taking photos for a long time? for me it is a brand new passion. you are gifted, rose. xoxoxooxoxxoox ~ltLaura Tattoohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05503853041054419287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12284539.post-53421674573667708912009-11-17T16:25:13.089-05:002009-11-17T16:25:13.089-05:00How fun! So, because I was facing the blue sky, you don't see the orange in the water, only on the whites of the seagulls. It made them look like they had pink butts.bluerosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09454168542120117493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12284539.post-21949328749173497942009-11-11T19:11:25.217-05:002009-11-11T19:11:25.217-05:00Gorgeous bird pics!
