sand

Yesterday I went to Clam Beach and saw some amazing undulations in the sand.

I esp. like #1415

It had been really warm on Thurs., 83!!!!!!!!!!!! But I didn't get to the beach. It was sunny again Fri., and I didn't babysit so hung out laundry, finished cleaning my gutters, scrubbed the deck (in hopes of ultimately sealing it), and didn't head to the beach till about 3:30, at which time it was starting to fog up a little. It also wasn't nearly as warm, tho I had no big complaints (about 68).

Today is foggy again, forecast of cloudy. But it's supposed to be sunny the next few days after that.

The sunset above my house

This magnificent sunset was partly hidden by trees when I ran up the hill a little ways up the road to see it last night. It was still fantastic, as this completely undoctored picture attests.
So I decided to go the the beach after bells tonight and see one at the ocean. Would you believe a sunset can be blah? I wouldn't have till I saw this one! Just enough haze to diffuse the light, and no clouds at all to reflect anything off. Oh well, I saw the top part of a great one yesterday. Leaflady (Gail)

grey Sunday

It was very grey in Trinidad on Sunday.  Leaf Lady (Gail)

driftwood mosaic

This is the driftwood mosaic I made in that workshop last month. It's not that great but I did get it done in about 4 hours!! (except I had to go back and do the grout). I mainly thought you'd be interested in the idea of the found-on-the-beach objects mixed with the glass. Most of the shells and driftwood were my own. I hung it in the back room.  Leaf Lady (Gail)

eve at the beach

Here are 3 pics from Clam Beach in early evening, with Adrienne's Austrian au pair Stefanie. I love the deep shadows on the sand. We didn't get to see a real sunset cuz there was a "wall" of clouds (Stefanie's apt word) but it was still beautiful. I was glad S. got away from family duties for awhile. Leaf Lady (Gail)

Black Swallowort

An invasive alien. Clark Reservation State Park, Jamesville, NY.

misted mountain

I photographed this interesting sight at Trinidad Friday. It was so beautiful and sunny -- but mist completely enveloped Trinidad Head. Almost like a giant wrapped it in cotton or angel hair, or a spider spun its web around it. Leaf Lady (Gail)
