Hello from East Texas

This is my first post to Silk Creek Portal. I'm a long ways from Silk Creek, but hope to visit someday soon. In the meantime, I thought I'd show you what a walk in the woods looks like where I live. The way the sunlight caught the Spanish Moss in this Cypress Tree caught my eye.

Another view of the same tree.

WOW! Blue Rose, these are REALLY PRETTY! I love Spanish Moss. Maybe we should hold the Silk Creek Retreat HERE? Super!

Welcome aboard. :-D

Thanks everybody! The more retreats, the merrier, I say. That is as long as you don't mind the humidity or the mosquitos. Erin, you might not mind. It's not much different than Florida, except Florida has much prettier beaches.

Come to think of it, I picture Texas quite differently than this--the part of Texas I visited was arid and flat and desert-like. Cattle country.
