2 more
You can't tell it but I had to climb to a high vantage point to get these. There was no way to walk safely without getting drenched. Leaf Lady (Gail)
in the woods
John took the one in the woods (I saved a few of his one night ... should send me a disk of all later), cuz his version was better than what I took of those beautiful sunbeams.
The other picture is just one of too many I took at Dry Lagoon. The surf was surprisingly high and foamy, even tho it was only a hour past low tide and hours till high tide. We couldn't get far down the beach.
Rain was predicted for all day, but it just rained lightly and occasionally, so we were pretty lucky. Leaf Lady (Gail)

Waves
Here are a couple pix from Big Lagoon yesterday. Taking pictures is probably a good part of my diminishing desire to describe the ocean in my journal. But it's impossible not to take pictures when I see the huge waves at the lagoons! (Even tho I really need a video camera!!)
Am home again today (not babysitting) -- just found out yesterday that I would be, for MLK day. It's sunny again but I'm just staying home and catching up on a few things. May go to grocery store and/or take a short walk. A few nights ago I recorded a PBS thing about comedy and will probably watch it later while continuing on my scrapbook for the twins. I love making scrapbooks.

Patrick's Point
Was warm again and I didn't have to babysit -- went to Patrick's Point State Park. Was only there one other time, fall of 2007. Sent a picture from each visit of the same place (well, obviously not exactly the same place, but very close). Quite a difference!!
Of course the foggy picture is cooler, but the weather was a lot more pleasant today! Leaf lady (Gail)

tree trunk
This old tree trunk is a permanent fixture on the beach ... tho obviously it's appearance is affected by weather and tides. Leaf Lady (Gail)
