Winter's almost over here. There are buds on the trees. Yea!
This is January in the Adirondacks.
My next post will be the first signs of spring ;].

My GOD but these are beautiful, Lori!
WOW! Very cool shots. SO PRETTY! Striking!
I used to go winter hiking, skiing and winter camping in the Adirondacks and I loved it. (NO, I am not the city girl your friend thinks I am!)
Thanks Michael!
LOL! At least not by choice anyway, huh Mary? The city just happens to be where your sweetie lives. I know you miss the Adirondacks. I'll be sure to correct him.
I'm a rural boy. Period. That said, for what I'm doing NOW, the city (or the very edge of the city) where I hang out serves me. But I look at the scenery around Andree's home in the wilds of Vermont and say, "YEAH!" I imagine myself in the desert and find myself dying to see it for myself. And I look at that shot with the light on the bright blue water, trees, fishing, and say "for SURE I'm going there, too!"
I miss the rural country and the mountains--BAD!
It was very beautiful and quiet. I highly recommend going there.
I'd br proud to come, ma'am, but ma horse just pulled up lame, the sow's about to litter, and the dam ol' dog ran off.
