Garden Sanctuary

GARDEN SANCTUARY

The night enfolds me
like a green mother.
It nurtures me
in its black womb.

Stars are tiny sounds
a trillion miles away
but where I sit, silence
folds its arms around my head.

I let blossoms form within -
their chrysanthemum retreat
becomes solitude and haven,
the place I first find peace.

Dew’s green tongue
laughs against my arm.
Nurtured deep inside myself
my seedling heart grows warm.

AK--I hope I get it ready on time--it's a lot of work and is taking all my energy! Phew!

That's okay, Mary. I suppose it is really a lot of work. I still feel bad about the copy that he sent me that got lost in the mail. So I am really looking forward to this.

Did you see the other one, the editors one (like on this page?)

SOrry one got lost int he mail.

I still never sent you that postcard, either, so sorry. AIeee, I keep running out of time!

No, I haven't seen the other one either. I was asking him before if it will be possible to even have it photocopied and sent to me, but he wouldn't budge to the idea of photocopying just for the sake of having a copy, maybe if that will be the only way, maybe. Yes, I still feel bad about having lost it in the mail, and I knew he did too. The only things I know about the Silk Creek Review are the things you have posted here, and so this is some sort of haven for me to visit. And I thank him so much for at least giving me this link. And you, for inviting me to be a member of this blog. Sorry that I haven't posted anything again, yet, so far. I guess I am still reeling from the events of the past week. I'm a lot better though. Lonely, but better.

i AM GLAD YOU ARE BETTER! Any better is better than no better.

Isn't this a nice poem? I like it.

If you want to see the editor version of Silk Creek Review with lots of pictures and some of Scott's poems, mine and Doug's, there is a link in the Side bar and down in one of the earliest posts on this Silk Creek Portal.

I hope you continue to feel well, better and better every day! :-)

Yes! I have visited it yesterday, he gave me the link to it. It's beautiful. Writings, photos, paintings, sketches. I will certainly would like to very much post one of Neal's sketches here, and also of Christabel's. Neal is actually the better visual artist between my kids, but I guess Christa has her moments too. Will try to send them to you so you can decide which to post. Nice to have finally seen Sllk Creek Review. He told me to thank you for all your efforts in making this possible, and so thank you Mary for letting us all experience this. BRAVO!!!!

Yes, it is a very nice poem. Sorry, I forgot to write that the last time I visited.

When Peg visits the blog and sees all those comments, she may think they are about her poem and then be disappointed. It is a very nice poem. :-)
